Ke Zhang
PhD Researcher
Ke Zhang is a first-year PhD student in Future Cities Center for Smart City at School of Computer Science, Trinity College Dublin (TCD), where he is supervised by Dr. Siobhan Clarke (Professor in Computer Science at TCD). His research is in the field of Abnormal Mobility Pattern Detection which is a subfield of Artificial Intelligence that is concerned with tools and techniques to propose effective and efficient models to detect suspects in several scenarios such as pickpocket detection in subway station. Ke holds an MSc. in University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) where his thesis was focused Indoor Crowd Detection. Prior to joining the CRT-AI funded PhD programme, Ke worked as a research assistant on the Suzhou Smart City project in collaboration with the Internet of Thing Group of USTC in Suzhou, China. The project aimed to make Suzhou an efficient and sustainable city, in which citizens are safe, productive, engaged and included.
